5 Reasons Why You Should Use A Gimbal

Shooting with a gimbal can help you capture some incredible images and videos. It comes as no surprise that gimbals have certainly become one of the most sought-after gears in photography and filmmaking. In such a short span of time, gimbals have made its mark in the photography sphere. So, for all the photography lovers, Digitek has recently announced the launch of AFI Phoenix D3 Gimbal that supports professional DSLR cameras with innovative handle and has a built-in foldable mini tripod design.
Gimbal is the key to shake-free shots and footage. Everyone wants to get their hands on one so that they are able to capture breathtaking images. But before you go and buy a gimbal for yourself, you might want to hear some pearls of wisdom regarding the most efficient use of this gimbal. So, here are 5 reasons on why to use a gimbal for capturing the most astounding images of all times.

 1) Modes and choices

The gear can operate in four modes of full-following, pan-following, full-locking and roll-following mode to follow every detail and minute movement fluidly. This enables the photographers to capture the 360-degree time-lapse, scene tracking and object rotating type of videos which creates a spellbinding effect on the viewers. With uninterrupted switching among these modes, the users can customize the gimbal’s effect. The roll-following mode allows users to shoot more dynamic shots making the image more vivid and powerful.

   2) Cameras make it perfect

The D3 Gimbal when used with Canon EOS series and Sony DSLR camera allows the photographers to leverage a wide range of camera settings. The extended zoom system that supports features like innovative zoom design, focus and zoom by handle knob, gives users the flexibility to shoot at will.

Apart from the camera, the gimbal can be controlled with the wireless connected mobile applications using the built-in multi-functions for efficient and versatile shooting.

The device being light-weight, is extremely portable and can be mounted on the dual-grip handle supporting system, tripod, monopod or used with a cushion shoulder strap or any other extension fittings as per the user’s comfort. Once the battery is charged, the gimbal can be used for up to 12 hours. So, you don’t have to carry the charger at every shoot location.

    4) Creativeness at its peak

Since now you have all the creative benefits of your new gear, you can really experiment with all kinds of different shots and movements. Here are some of the various shots you can get:

  1. Dolly/Tracking Shot:

Instead of the traditional way that usually calls for rails or a metal track and a wheeled cart (a “dolly”), now you can simply walk or run while  holding your camera.

  2. Crane/Jib Shot:

Usually, you would have to construct the jib and then move the thing around. It can be quite cumbersome, especially if you don’t have a lot of room. The beauty of the gimbal is that you can get these rising/lowering shots much more easily by either just bending over or squatting.

  3. Pass-Through Shot:

This is when the camera moves through a very tight space, like a window or a hole and keeps recording, all in one move. The gimbal eliminates many of the roadblocks that would come with traditional Steadicam or shoulder rigs and allows you to fit into spaces that are smaller.

“IMS is continuously innovating its products base to bring ease of use and brilliant performance to its customers. This advanced hand held AFI Phoenix D3 Gimbal for professionals with phoenix like swift movements is easy to use and steer and promises exemplary shoots to create an impressive impact”. said Amit Saraf, Managing Director, IMS Mercantiles Pvt Ltd.

Now having been equipped with the knowledge about the gear you must be thinking of where to find this gear. Well, here is the link www.imsmercantiles.in/

So go and grab your gimbal and go out to capture the world!
