The flash that comes with the DSLR camera is fragile. If you’re shooting many pictures indoors (for example, taking pictures of children indoors) in a low-light environment, one will need an external flash that can be mounted on top of the DSLR camera. This will make a massive difference in the quality of the pictures, one takes in low light conditions.

The flash shown below is portable and supports both hot-shoe (above the camera) and wireless (away from the camera) operations. They keep some variation in the TTL flash control. These flashes have a full swing head with an angle of 180 degrees.

  • Backpack style camera bag

Backpacks are great for carrying a lot of accessories as they have so much space inside. The only disadvantage of the backpacks is that access to our gears is difficult when we quickly need them.

It would help if you indeed had a lens hood when you are shooting outdoors during the daytime. This will help you stop the flaring of stray light, lens, and ghosting. It will prevent the tiny circle of light in your image when there is a significant source of light beyond your frame. A lens hood will also often help you avoid scratches and dings of the glass.

For different sizes of cameras, there is a separate lens hood.

This is the original lens hood made by Nikon specifically for the 18-55mm G VR II DX AF-S lens. This is a reversible lens hood. This lens hood helps to produce a more saturated image.

From the name itself, it is clear that the role of an all in one camera lens. One does not have to carry different lenses for different uses. For example, the 18-55 lens is not good enough to take telephoto pictures because it can’t zoom in enough. The 55-200 lens can’t be used indoors because it is not wide enough. The best thing you can do is carry that lens, covering both wide-angle and telephoto. In this way, one does not have to take multiple lenses and do not have to worry about switching the lens.

One of the camera’s simplest accessories that can make a good impact is a tripod. Invest in a lightweight and easy-to-carry good quality tripod. Yet, it is all too tempting to go for one of the cheapest versions of the tripod you see. You will be astounded.
